Ingredients
1/2CupBengal gram / chana dal
5Green chilies
1OnionFinely Chopped
2tbspCoriander leavesFinely Chopped
1/2CupBanana Flower (Tender)Finely chopped
Curry leaves
1/2inchCinnamon
2Cloves
1tbspGinger garlic paste
Oil for Deep frying

Preparation
Wash and soak Bengal gram dal for 2 hrs
Remove calyx and pistil from the florets.
Keep the cleaned florets in salt water and keep them aside
Chop all the florets into finely.
Method
Add soaked dal into blender
Add cloves, cinnamon, green chilies and salt
Blend into coarse paste
Transfer coarse paste into mixing bowl
Add ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chopped onion and chopped banana flower .Mix well
Heat oil in a wok for deep fry
Apply oil to palms, take a lemon sized ball of the mixture, flatten it with palms and form into patties
Carefully drop the patties into the oil . Cook on medium heat
Fry both sides until brown
Remove from oil with a slotted ladle and place on a paper towel
Serve hot with tea or coffee
Notes
Oil should be medium heat . Other wise it won't cook completely
