A Simple SOUTH INDIAN style mango rice made with raw sour mango. This recipe is almost similar to the LEMON RICE which most of us make at home. A delicious tangy flavored rice made using steamed rice and raw green mangoes and added to it is aromatic tempering.

Ingredients
1 1/2CupsCooked Rice
1Raw mango peeled and grated
For Tempering
2tbspOil
2tbspPeanuts
1tbspCashew nuts
1tbspChana dal
1tbspUrad dal
1/2tspCumin Seeds
1/2tspMustard Seeds
5Green chiliSlit
5Curry leaves
Salt
1/4tspTurmeric Powder
Instructions
Preparation
Firstly, in a cooking vessel, cook rice completely by adding some salt , oil and water and rest it aside.
Method
In a wok, add oil and heat it.
Add peanuts , cashew nuts , urad dal , chana dal , mustard seeds ,cumin seeds and stir well.
Add sit green chillies and saute well for few seconds.
Add curry leaves and turmeric powder and mix well on low flame.
Add grated raw mango into it, mix well for few seconds.
Add fried seasonings and salt to cooked rice, mix well .
serve hot!!!
Notes
One can add 2-3 dried red chillies in the tempering as adding them is usually preferred and they give a good taste too.
