Ingredients
1/2Cupsabudana (tapioca pearls) / Sago
3CupsMilk
1/2CupSugar
1/4tspCardamom powder
1tbspCashew Nuts
1/2tspRaisins
3 or 4StrandsSaffronOptional
1tbspGhee
Instructions
Preparation
Rinse the sabudana pearls till the water runs clear of the starch.
Cover and let the pearls get soaked in the water for 15 mins
Method
Add 1 tbsp ghee to fry pan
Add cashew nuts and raisins.
Fry until golden and keep them aside.
Take a thick bottomed pan or sauce pan on the stove top
Add milk to that sauce pan, and boil the milk.
After milk is boiling, add soaked sago.
Cook on medium heat until sago is completely cooked.
Add sugar, saffron strands and cardamom powder and simmer till the sugar is dissolve completely on a low flame.
Keep on stirring occasionally
Switch off the flame and add Fried cashews and raisins.
