Transfer to a blender and puree to a really smooth mixture and set this aside.
How to make paneer butter masala
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves. Fry for 1 min
Pour the blended onion tomato masala and add 1/2 water. Mix well
Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala. Mix well.
If needed add 1/2 cup of water good enough to make the paneer butter masala gravy.
Cook until the gravy thickens and reaches the desired consistency.
Lower the flame add paneer cubes
Add kasurei methi and salt
Mix and cook covered on a low heat for 5 mins .
Pour cream and mix
Transfer paneer butter masala to a serving bowl. Garnish with cream
Serve hot with roti or nana or plain rice or jeera rice.
Notes
You can skip using garlic and onion and make a no onion no garlic paneer butter masala recipe. We can use fresh tomatoes in place of tomate paste. And make sure tomatoes should cook properly before blending
