Add the oats, 3 cups of water (chilled) and ice cubes to a blender and blend for 30 secs. Add more or less water depending on how thick you like your oat milk. (do not blend more as the milk gets slimy with heat)
Strain the milk using a cheesecloth, a strainer, a cloth napkin or a nut milk bag.
Double strain the milk to get clear oat milk.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
You can use 1-2 Medjool dates or any other sweetener if you like your milk sweet. l love with 1 tbsp maple syrup and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract in my milk.
