Instructions
Crush the garlic cloves in a mortar & pestle coarsely. Make sure they are not mashed too much or become a paste.
Add the black peppercorns.
Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and crush coarsely. Keep it aside.
Heat the oil in a pan
Add cumin seeds, chana dal, green chilis, peanuts and fry on low flame until they are crunchy.
Add the crushed garlic and cook on low flame until it turns to a golden color. Do not let the garlic burn, it should just be crunchy and well-roasted.
Add the cooked rice, salt, and mix everything to combine.
Cook on low flame until the rice is heated thoroughly and the pepper, garlic aroma infuse the rice.
