Preparation
Clean celery thoroughly, dice celery into ½ inch pieces.
Chop tomatoes into small pieces
Method
Heat oil in a pot. Heat to medium.
Add chana dal, urad dal, peanuts, sesame seeds, cumin seeds , green chili, red chili and garlic.
Fry till golden brown and keep them aside.
In the same pan add celery and tomatoes.
Add salt and turmeric.
Cook on medium heat with lid covered.
Transfer the dal and celery mixture into blender.
Pulse slowly until soft. Make sure all pieces are ground.
Transfer to a bowl.
Now, prepare to seasoning. Pour 1½ to 2 tbsp oil in a pot. Heat to medium-high.
Add ingredients under seasoning , fry until golden brown.
Add seasoning to chutney .
This chutney will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 1 week. Use it for as many meals within a week.
