The recipe of oats idli recipe is easy and simple without much complication, yet some tips and suggestions to make it more perfect. Firstly, i have dry roasted rolled oats till it turns crisp. This is a mandatory step and do not powder it without dry roasting it. Secondly, i have added grated carrots which is completely optional and can be skipped if nor required. Lastly, i have added baking soda to skip the fermentation process which can be replaced with Eno fruit salt too.

How to make Oats Idli with step by step :
1.Take one cup rolled oats in mixi jar. And blend into fine powder.Heat 3 tsp oil in fry pan
2.Add cashew nuts and fry for a min. Keep them aside
3.Add seasoning 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, ½ tsp cumin and few curry leaves.Add ½ tsp ginger paste and 2 chilli. saute slightly.
4.Add ¼ cup rava and roast on low flame until it turns aromatic.
5.Add powdered oats and mix well.
6.Transfer the mixture and allow to cool completely.
7.Add ¼ cup curd and 1 cup water.
8.Mix well making sure there are no lumps.
9.Rest for 20 minutes or until the rava absorbs water.
10.Further add lemon juice, grated carrot, ¾ tsp salt and ½ cup water.
11.Mix well making sure to form an idli batter consistency.
12.Just before steaming add a ½ tsp baking soda and mix well.
13.Steam the oats idli for 15 minutes on medium heat.
14.Finally, serve instant oats idli with coconut chutney and sambar.
