Mushroom Stir Fry | Simple Mushroom Fry with detailed photo and video recipe – Stir Fried mushroom with cashews, indian spices and herbs. This mushroom fry is very simple to make yet it tastes amazingly delicious with a wonderful aroma of masala. It goes well with rice, roti or chapathi.
I get a lot of requests to post recipes which are quick to make and do not take long hours of cooking. I will be adding such recipes that can be made quickly, but without compromising on the health factor and using fresh ingredients.
This particular mushroom stir fry recipe is Indian style and uses basic ingredients that are easily available in an Indian kitchen. Everything is cooked in one pan. All the prep work, you need to do is slice the onions and chop the mushrooms. The rest of the cooking is just stir frying or sauteing the ingredients in a pan.
The recipe shared here is the simplest way you can make a flavorful mushroom stir fry. I have used cashews here, you can replace them with tofu or paneer.

How to make Mushroom Stir Fry with Step by Step :
1.Heat oil in a pan
2.Add cumin, mustard, curry leaves and cashew nuts.
3.Fry for 2 mins
4.Add ginger garlic paste. Fry ginger garlic paste for 2 mins
5.Add chopped onions and fry them evenly till they brown, not burnt. And salt.
6.Add chili powder, turmeric and garam masala.
7.Saute until the raw smell has gone, just for a minute.
8.Add chopped mushrooms and salt.
9.Fry on a medium flame till you begin to get an aroma of mushrooms. This takes 2 mins.
10.Cover and cook on a low flame till the mushrooms are cooked. Do not overcook as mushrooms tend to become soggy.
11.Add lemon juice and mix well.
12.Serve mushroom fry with rice or chapathi.
